Sinds June 2008 I have been working on my project Clapkiss.

Clapkiss is a mixture of different media, photography, video, drawings and poems. I make embroiders on prints that makes unique stories!
through my passion and obsession for the power and vulnerability of the poppy I tell my story.
My fascination for nature, the details, the shapes and the growth of the plants reflects our ephemerality in life.
In the morning when the poppies branch is lifting up to the sky the two bracts open. The red leaves are still creased like a new born butterfly that needs to dry in the sun. Then when the poppy is in her most powerful moment the bumblebees come. They are wild and heavy and crush the flower. The wind sets in and just within one day or even less the beautiful red poppy falls apart. The cotyledon remains and makes sure that the poppy seeds will fly through the air to fall down on a new spot to start all over again!
Ephemerality is that one thing we are sure of in this life, nothing is indefinite. It makes us dependent on the moment we live in. To make us truly see and feel what is around and within us!

My Clapkiss project is on the edge of erotic emotions, that can make us powerful or fragile...

  • Fragile, vulnerable in a short life
On her thin string slowly moving in the wind
    Her deep pure red skin
Powerful she stands there in blossom
The clap of here rose as a kiss
    stroking my lips
